Weber County fire and police help to save dog's life after car accident

Weber Fire District and Weber County Sheriff’s Department helped to save a dog’s life after it was trapped in a car that was involved in a car accident. Weber Fire District stated in a post on their Facebook page that they were called out to an accident on Friday afternoon. The accident occurred at 1900 West and 2100 South in West Haven and was stated to include two vehicles. While all occupants of the vehicles were able to get out of their vehicles, there was one problem. A dog was trapped in one of the cars. WFD stated they were able to get the dog out with the help of their Heavy Rescue Unit. Firefighters said they quickly brought the dog to a vet ER because of the dog’s condition. According to WFD, the vet told the firefighters they saved the dog’s life because of how quickly they worked to get the dog out and to the vet.
