VIDEO: Dozens of residents at a Kearns apartment complex have been displaced after a fire destroyed several units Monday. The fire at 4785 West Thorncrest Way drew a large response from emergency crews, but was put out before approximately 1 p.m. Officials said 24 units were evacuated, with half of those impacted by the fire, according to the American Red Cross. Four of the top units in the building were completely destroyed, while eight bottom units received water damage.
In all, 34 residents have been displaced following the fire. Drone video from @AndyXMunox showed firefighters on top of the 4-story building with smoke coming up through the roof. Two ladder trucks were also seen at the fire, with another parked on the road nearby.
