VIDEO: First responders were at the scene of a fire at a warehouse in Sterling on Monday afternoon. The Loudoun County Fire Department said that a call came in for a fire on Acacia Lane just after 3:05 p.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene just before 3:15 p.m. There, crews saw that the fire was through the roof of the warehouse facility. Shortly before 5 p.m., Asst. Fire Chief Travis Preau said that crews called for a second alarm at the warehouse, which stores roofing material. Preau said no one was inside the building, but that a firefighter had minor heat injuries. Virginia State Police troopers evacuated nearby businesses and warehouses. It took about two and half hours to get the fire under control due to the size of the warehouse and the things that were burning inside, according to a news release from Loudoun County Fire and Rescue.
