PHOTOS: A severe fire in the yard of a New Kent County pallet company tore through rows of product on Wednesday.
According to New Kent Fire-Rescue, firefighters were called to the Allied Pallet Company, located at 7151 Poindexter Rd., at about 8:51 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24 for report of a possible structure fire.
When they arrived at the scene, crews found heavy smoke conditions and 25 rows of stacked pallets consumed by fire. According to fire officials, firefighters at the scene were able to keep the flames from further spreading, and marked the fire under control within 20 minutes.
No other information, such as the cause of the fire, has been shared by fire officials as of the time of reporting.
